Infraspinatus infraspinatus

[Location] It is located in the infraspinatus fossa of the scapula, deep to the trapezius muscle. It is a thick triangular muscle; the infraspinatus muscle is located in the infraspinatus fossa, and part of the muscle is covered by the deltoid and trapezius muscles. It originates from the infraspinatus fossa, passes outward behind the shoulder joint, and ends at the middle of the greater tuberosity of the humerus. Its function is to externally rotate the shoulder joint.
